How far prior to my event should I place my order?

This answer could change depending on the type of event and time of year. For summer events, graduations, or holiday orders you would want to place your order at least two months prior to the affair. Events during the winter can be ordered two weeks prior but this doesn’t guarantee that the item will be available for your event. The sooner you place your order the better.

How much time do I have to change/cancel my order?

Life happens. How many times have you planned one activity and you end up completing two unrelated activities. Here at Barry’s Let’s Rent It that’s all we do. We plan for one or two or twenty or thirty or seventy –three similar but different activities. With that in mind please know that we try to accommodate you as much as we can. Please follow these simple and effective rules. Additions to orders can usually be taken until the day before delivery, assuming the item is still in stock. Reductions must be five days before delivery, assuming the merchandise hasn’t been packed and placed on the truck (summer events, graduations, or holiday orders should be changed at least seven days before delivery). Cancellations must occur 15 days before delivery without penalty. Cancellations between 15 and 5 days will incur a 50 percent cancellation fee. If you need to cancel your event or event rental within five (5) days of your delivery you will be responsible for the full invoice. Tent security deposit are not refundable prior to install. If you are unable to accept merchandise that you have ordered and reserved you will still be responsible for payment for those items regardless of the reason.

How long is one rental period?

One rental period is generally three to four days. Typically, we deliver one day before your event and pick up the day after for the same rental rate. Please inquire for monthly and weekly rates.

What is your delivery policy?

In order to be eligible for delivery, your rental order must be at least $100.  During the months of June, July, and August, delivery rates start $150.  Rental orders have a delivery fee of $35 in the local area.  These rates pertain to ground level deliveries in Oakland County. Additional charges may be applied for items delivered to locations other than ground level or outside of Oakland County. Customer pick ups are offered for only certain items and can be picked up from the showroom in West Bloomfield. The client is responsible for all permits and fees associated with securing permits. The rental rates listed are based upon a first floor delivery into your home or business. Our Barry’s Let’s Rent It staff will open tables upon delivery as long as rental merchandise is protected from inclement weather and there is a reasonable amount of direction.  The company name is Barry’s Let’s Rent It – not Barry’s Let’s Schlep It.  Chairs can be setup for an additional charge.  When your event is over, tables and chairs must be folded and stacked under cover. Dishes, glasses, and flatware must be rinsed and repacked in boxes. Please call for more information regarding our delivery policies and rates.

Is a security deposit required?

A security deposit is required for tents and may be required for larger orders. The deposit is taken the day the order is placed. All orders require a credit card number for security.  Depostis are not refundable.

What happens if I break or lose any merchandise?

The customer is responsible for all merchandise rented, as per the rental contract. In the rare event that merchandise is broken or lost the customer is charged the replacement cost for the item.

What type of payment options do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express as payment for any order.
